[Morphological changes in fetal small intestine and pancreas implanted in Fisher and August rats].

Fragments of fetal small intestine of Fischer rats aged 16-20 days were implanted to rats aged 3 months of the same Fischer strain (syngeneic implantation). The morphological changes in the implants were investigated. It has been shown that serious modifications of the implant including the neoplasm formation are possible during the evolution process. After syngeneic implantation of fetal pancreas to Fischer and August rats under identical conditions no malignization of the implants was observed.

Adenocarcinoma↗

[Association of small peripheral lung cancer and early stomach cancer].

A combination of peripheral lung oat-cell carcinoma and early gastric highly differentiated adenocarcinoma in a man of 52 with long-term chronic peptic ulcer existing for 20 years is described. Electron microscopic and histochemical examinations of pulmonary carcinoma revealed neurosecretory granules and keratohyalin in the tumor cells. The gastric tumor on the ultrastructural level had cells differentiating in the direction of the glandular and intestinal epithelium. The presence of two independent malignant tumors in the patient was proven by the use of several morphological methods (cytologic, histologic, histochemical and electron microscopic).

Adenocarcinoma↗

[Primary fibrosarcoma of the lung].

A case of primary pulmonary fibrosarcoma in a women of 50 is described as a rare disease which is difficult to diagnose intravitally due to the absence of pathognomonic clinical and roentgenological data. The danger of prolonged time-course observation of the patient with a rounded shadow in the lung is emphasized. The importance of electron microscopic study to specify the morphological diagnosis is demonstrated.

[Forensic and medical evaluation of vascular malformations of the brain in cranio-cerebral trauma].

A classification of vascular malformations (VM) is defined in the article including a differentiation between their macroscopic and histological variations; an independently-authors-observed case of arterial-and-venous malformation (AVM) in a minor cranial-cerebral trauma (CCT) is described. Published data reflecting the forensic-and-medical value of AVM and cavernous malformations as well as of telangectasias and of arterial-and-venous fistulas in minor head traumas are analyzed. Issues of the forensic-and-medical expertise of VM and remote consequences of CCT are under consideration. VM are assessed in CCT patients with epilepsy and other pathologies. An algorithm of the forensic medical expertise of VM is suggested.

Adult↗

[The forensic medical diagnosis of kidney trauma].

Penetrating cut wounds of the chest and abdomen involving the perirenal fat can be complicated by chronic inflammations of the kidney. Latent progress of the pathological process in the kidney and perirenal fat caused paranephritis which was diagnosed only 51 days after the injury and removal of the kidney. This case once again confirms that pathologically changed organs (kidneys) are liable to be injured even during a slight indirect traumatic exposure, for example, just falling on the plane surface.
