[The usage of food supplement to on the basis of calcium alginate for correction of liver infringements at virus hepatitis].

The efficiency of food supplement (BAS) on the basis of calcium alginate was studied among the diseased people with virus hepatitis. BAS was taken 3.0 g one time in morning on an empty stomach 40-60 vin before eating or taking medicine. The results of clinical observations showed that BAS helps to improve the early normalization of clinical situation and biochemical indexes in blood with virus liver diseases.

[Gastrozepin therapy of gallbladder motility disorders in patients with ischemic heart disease].

Submitted in the paper are results of studies on gastrocepin effects on degree of clinical symptoms, contractility of the gall bladder, and power of the threshold load in patients with ischemic heart disease and disordered motor function of the bile tracts. Gastrocepin is shown to increase contractility of the gall bladder and facilitate normalization of the Oddie's sphincter tone; it makes for the reduction in the incidence of anginal attacks and increase in the physical exercise tolerance in patients with stabile functional class I and II angina pectoris of effort.

[6-unit clinico-physical complex].

The article is devoted to the results of application of high energy proton beams, negative pi-mesons and neutrons in biomedical and clinical investigations carried out at the 680 MeV phasotron (the JINR Laboratory of Nuclear Problems) before its conversion. A six-compartment clinico-physical facility is described. It has been constructed at the converted phasotron in order to continue and expand investigations for application of heavy nuclear particles in radiation therapy. The first physical and dosimetric characteristics of medical proton beams produced in the converted accelerator and guided to chambers 1 and 2 of the new clinico-physical facility are discussed. The future of radiobiological and clinical investigations with high energy proton, negative pion and neutron beams of this facility is also discussed.

[Dynamics of immunologic indices in patients with ischemic heart disease on a course of doxazosin therapy].

The authors have studied effects of the course treatment with doxasosine, a selective alpha 1-adrenoblocker, on lipid and immunological indices in 46 male subjects with ischemic heart disease presenting with functional class I-III exertional angina. A significant improvement in indices for lipid metabolism has been shown together with absence of negative influence on parameters characterizing immunologic vigour with no worsening of manifestations of T-cellular immune deficiency. In hypercholesterinemia-free middle-aged subjects, posttreatment alterations in the peripheral blood can be regarded as a result of a positive effect on immunological reactivity.
