A relatively new requirement of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) accrediation process is compliance with several National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs) selected from the list of alerts by the JCAHO's Sentinel Event Alert Advisory Group.
