Bilateral choroidal hemangiomas and facial nevus flammeus.
Two patients presented with the rare combination of bilateral diffuse choroidal hemangiomas and bilateral facial nevus flammeus. In one eye of one patient, an associated serous retinal detachment was treated with xenon arc photocoagulation in an attempt to delimit the subretinal fluid. Clinicians should be aware of the subtle clinical findings of diffuse choroidal hemangiomas as well as the possibility of bilateral occurrence. Early recognition and treatment may prevent progression of total retinal detachment and neovascular glaucoma.

Diffuse primary malignant melanoma after prior primary cutaneous malignant melanoma.
A diffuse choroidal tumor developed in the right eye of a 64-year-old man ten years after excision of a primary malignant melanoma of the lip and a bilateral neck dissection for regional lymph node metastasis. His clinical presentation suggested the diagnosis of choroidal malignant melanoma metastatic from the skin, but histopathologic evaluation of the tumor demonstrated it to be a primary diffuse choroidal malignant melanoma.
