The article presents data on prevalence of arterial hypertension and ischemicheart disease in workers exposed to vibration, both having vibration disease and free of it.
Analysis of clinical signs seen in chronic vinyl chloride intoxication proved that early stages of the disease are characterized by functional neurologic disorders (vegetoneurosis, astheno-neurotic and astheno-vegetative syndromes) and vegetative sensory neuropathy. Periodic medical examinations of workers having continuous contact with vinyl chloride proved that neuropathologist plays major role in diagnosis and indispensably participates in the examination.
The article presents physical and chemical characteristics of dust appearing due to the polishing of glass products. Clinical examination of glass polishers revealed occupational respiratory diseases. The results helped to put into practice the devices to catch humid aerosol and improved equipment for mechanical processing of crystal, to suggest prophylactic measures for the occupational diseases.
