Implant identification system.
Osseointegrated oral implantology has become a widespread option of dental care. A universal system of implant identification is required to enable dentists, patients and participating third parties to accurately identify a particular implant and historically record and follow its bio-clinical status. A simple system, based on the existing FDI two-digit tooth identification system is presented.
