The important role of the physician in home care in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Home care in Saudi Arabia is beginning to establish itself as an important part of the health care system. Even though programs may differ, the focus remains the same: to provide the highest quality home health care services to the citizens and to provide the necessary medical and supportive services that each individual needs. Physicians play a critical role in ensuring the success of home care in this country.

Designing a discharge planning program that fits.

With formal home care services increasing in prominence all over the world, the need for discharge planning becomes more apparent. No matter what type of plan providers use, beginning with the basics and allowing for options will ensure that patients get the services they need, no matter where on the globe they live.

International models. Saudi Arabia: the Kingdom, its health care programs, and the beginning of home health care.

Home care in Saudi Arabia is in its infancy. Most programs that do exist are based in hospitals. What sets home care in this country apart is the multitude of unique cultural and religious considerations that nurses--most of whom come from western countries--face on each visit.
