[Rigid tube bronchoscopy in tuberculous children. Apropos of 24 cases].

We report the preliminary results of a study in children with tuberculosis. Rigid tube bronchoscopy provided diagnostic information in 79% of cases and allowed a few therapeutic procedures including aspiration of secretions and removal of inflammatory granulomas. We found that the most common lesion is bronchial compression. Rigid tube bronchoscopy is acceptably comfortable under general anesthesia and provides valuable results.

[Prolapse of the urethral mucosa in girls. Apropos of 9 cases].

The authors briefly report some clinical aspects of this dystrophy which, although more commonly seen in Negroes, can also be found in Caucasians. It is important to be able to identify it not to be impressed by this vulvar mass which so easily bleeds when touched.

Child↗

[Sickle cell anemia and surgery. Personal experiences at the Owendo Pediatric Hospital].

This work is based on 21 cases. The age varies from 1 to 15 years. The clinical manifestations are dominated by osseous painful phenomena, occurring by crisis relative to ischemic processes and infarctus, lameness and seldom a pathological fracture. Radiography ranks among the important means in the balance of the evolution and spreading of the osseous lesions. We prefer the notion of osteitis, which has its own particularities and corresponds much more to the nosology than that of osteomyelitis commonly employed.
