Management training for nurses.
Pauline Werhun and her colleagues describe an innovative approach to nurse management training in their health authority. The course they devised, which lasts a total of 18 months, received such a positive response from senior and charge nurses that there is now a waiting list for entry. Evaluations from participants also suggested areas where the course might be improved.
