The role of mammography in the early detection of breast cancer.
The role of the NP frequently includes recommending mammography, interpreting the results, and ensuring adequate follow-up. Mammography is an accepted and useful screening test for breast cancer; but it is not perfect. It is necessary to understand not only its use and benefits, but also its limitations.
