[Methods of immediate reconstruction of the separating dividing mechanism in extended horizontal resection of the larynx].
The paper reviews literature and original data on the treatment of the vestibule of the larynx (VL) cancer. Anatomical and physiological arguments in favour of reconstructing the separating mechanism in the resection of the VL are formulated. New procedures for such reconstruction in horizontal resection for VL cancer have been developed. Indications, methods of the reconstruction and postoperative developments in the patients are provided.
