Dr Raymond J. Brigden Phd, RGN was the founding editor of NATNews. In this piece he considers how theatre nursing literature has changed since the first days of the journal in 1964, and presents a challenge for committed theatre nurses to become involved in the updating of the textbook Operating Theatre Techniques which he wrote in 1962 and has revised regularly ever since.
