Anginal syndrome. Treatment with a long-acting nitrate (itramin tosylate).

Preliminary studies in eighteen patients with 2-aminoethylnitrate-p-toluene-sulphonate (itramin tosylate) indicate that this organic nitrate is effective and well tolerated for the treatment of the anginal syndrome. Although the dosage should be determined on an individual basis, the administration of a chewing tablet, containing 4 mg. of the medication, appears to be satisfactory.
