[The influence of social processes on populations].

The paper indicates the influence of the social process of the vital potentials of population. The process of lengthening of life could be taken as an social process too. The mortuary table population could be a relation for vital potentials. The process of the morbidity is influenced by vital potentials.

Humans

[The dynamics of life extension processes in selected examples].

The dynamics of the life expectancy is quantified using the example of some European industrial countries. It is possible to determinate the part of the mortality of infants and children at the life expectancy by performed prototype calculations. Further increase of years of ane's life is especially possible by decreasing mortality in the middle and higher age.

Birth Rate

[The role of migration in assessing age-specific event probabilities exemplified by the probability of death].

Estimating probabilities of age-specific events both in demography and in epidemiology (force of mortality, force of morbidity) will contain additional errors if the frequency of the respective events is influenced by net migration and if migration is not taken into consideration when estimating these events. The terms used in including migration into estimating the respective rates are refined terms. The influence of migration on age-specific events is demonstrated by age-specific mortality and the life expectancy computed on the basis of age-specific mortality rates for the GDR in 1984. The results demonstrate that the life expectancy of the population of Berlin will be underestimated by 0.28 years if migration processes are not taken into consideration.

Berlin

[Incorporation of work disability into the prolonged life expectancy process].

The various reasons of deficiency, as e.g., mortality, invalidity and notification of illness result in a decrease of the potential of work of the labour. Because of the mutual influence of these reasons, an isolated assessment of them only can be performed in a restricted manner. The loss of working years in male workers and clerks of the GDR (SV FDGB 1982) is calculated and assessed on the basis of the various reasons of deficiency.
