ITCH AND VIBRATION.

Itch produced by application of cowage to the wrist was reduced in intensity by vibration of the stimulated area. Application of vibration to the opposite wrist also reduced intensity. The results may be attributed to physiological activities occurring at the early stages of information transmission.

Effects of early perceptual restriction on simple visual discrimination.

Dogs were raised from infancy to maturity in lighted cages that restricted their visual experience but did not deprive them of all patterned stimulation. After they were released from their cages, they had greater difficulty than normally reared littermates in performing a simple black-white discrimination and in subsequent reversal training.
