[The coadaptation of the lymphocyte and neutrophil enzyme systems in intact mice and against a background of infectious exposures].

In experiments on mice the authors studied the correlation of the levels of the activity of a number of enzymes (dehydrogenase and acid phosphatase) of lymphocytes and neutrophils at three levels of organization: subcellular--inside the lymphocytes and neutrophils; intercellular--coordination of the enzymatic activity of two types of blood cells; temporary--inter-conjunction of the levels of metabolism in the blood cells prior to and in dynamics after infection. R. P. Nartsissov's cytochemical method with the use of n-nitrotetrazolium was employed. Introduction of systemic conceptions into the cytochemical analysis of neutrophils and lymphocytes made it possible to reveal a peculiarity of the metabolic status of the blood cells involved into the inflammatory process and also to determine coadaptation elements of the two types of leukocytes.

[Enzyme status of blood cells in premature children during the treatment of omphalitis by helium-neon laser radiation].

Helium-neon laser radiation was employed in the treatment of 27 premature children suffering from omphalitis. It has been established that helium-neon laser radiation produces a favourable effect on the healing and epithelization of the umbilical wound, activates lymphocyte succinate dehydrogenase in premature children. The rate of wound healing correlates with the initial enzymic status, with the number of sessions of laser therapy and the general estimation of the previous development of the child in accordance with the prognostic coefficient of sepsis development.

[The prognosis of the course of psoriasis].

Analysis of the informative value of signs and prognostic coefficients for 35 clinical amnestic and laboratory parameters helped make up a prognostic table for the assessment of the severity of psoriasis course and therapy efficacy. After consecutive Wald's processing 28 signs were selected out of these 35. The prognostic threshold was calculated, that permitted distribution of the patients into groups with favorable and unfavorable course of psoriasis.

[Enzymatic coordination indices of leukocytes in the prognosis of mouse resistance to staphylococcal toxin].

The activity of succinate, lactate and alpha-glycerophosphate dehydrogenases, as well as acid phosphatase, in the lymphocytes and neutrophils of the blood was studied in noninbred white mice prior to the intraperitoneal injection of 1 LD50 of staphylococcal toxin. As the result of intoxication, a half of the animals died and the other half survived. The two groups of the animals differed in the levels of the activity of succinate dehydrogenase and hyaloplasmatic alpha-glycerophosphate dehydrogenase in the neutrophils and lymphocytes, and also differed in the stability of correlations between the activity of succinate and lactate dehydrogenases in the lymphocytes and neutrophils and, besides, between the activity of lactate dehydrogenase in these types of cells.

[Prognostic value of determining the succinate dehydrogenase activity of lymphocytes and the therapeutic effectiveness of sodium succinate in resuscitation of rats].

In the experiments on male rats recovered after clinical death caused by acute hemorrhage and mechanical asphyxia undulatory changes of lymphocyte succinate dehydrogenase activity were revealed: enzyme inhibition during clinical death, activation in the first minutes of resuscitation with subsequent moderate reduction in activity. Lymphocyte succinate dehydrogenase activity was shown to be a reliable prognostic criterion. Pre-injection of sodium succinate at a dose of 20 mg/kg improved considerably the resuscitation results especially during the first two days of rehabilitation period.

[Effect of an alternating magnetic field on the development of spontaneous hypertension in rats].

The effect of varying magnetic field on the development of spontaneous hypertension was studied in experiments on Okamoto rats. The influence of magnetic field during antenatal development caused persistent changes in lymphocyte and organ metabolism and accelerated the appearance of spontaneous hypertension in rats. Based on enzymatic activity of lymphocytes it is possible to predict the development of spontaneous arterial hypertension.
