[The lower urinary tract and pseudo-neoplastic sigmoiditis].

A report is given on the results of 12 radiological explorations of the bladder in 12 patients with pseudo-neoplastic sigmoiditis. In all cases the bladder had an abnormal aspect, in two cases there was a pseudotumor, in two an inflammatory aspect, in four conical attraction of the bladder by the sigmoid. In all 12 cases morphological anomalies of the filled bladder were seen. The ureters were either normal or dilated but without true stenoses. These various aspects may contribute to the differential diagnosis between sigmoiditis and cancer. The differential diagnosis of such vesical lesions is discussed.

[Pseudo-neoplastic sigmoid diverticulitis from radiology to diagnosis (author's transl)].

Pseudo-neoplastic sigmoid diverticulitis, a rare clinical form of pseudo-tumoural sigmoiditis, is characterised by the difficulty of its clinical, radiological, endoscopic and even per-operative diagnosis. None of these various phases in study may suffice to eliminate the possibility of an associated carcinoma. The diagnosis may be made by opening the operative specimen, but this is too late in time. The appearance of the bladder, rather than misleading the diagnosis, may provide arguments in favour of the benign nature of these pseudo-tumours.
