Study of structural analysis: comparing differential diagnoses based on psychiatric evaluation, the MMPI, and structural analysis of the Hand Test and Rorschach.

Experimental investigation of Structural Analysis compared diagnoses of 30 psychiatric inpatients derived independently from psychiatric evaluations, MMPI analyses, and Structural Analysis interpretation of Hand Test and Rorschach data. Results yielded positive preliminary implications for the use of Structural Analysis in psychodiagnostics.

Brief case presentation on the nature of psychopathy in Structural Analysis theory.

A case study is reported which clearly supports the theory and usefulness of Structural Analysis regarding psychopathy. Psychiatric diagnosis, a computer MMPI report, and clinical impressions constitute the data.

Contemporary dilemmas in personality assessment illustrated in a diagnostic case study.

Hand Test and California Psychological Inventory data produced by two nonviolent sex offenders are presented in case study format. Marked similarities in personality of these subjects are noted and discussed in relation to difficulties which plague the field of measurement and evaluation. Social relevancy is noted and the need for systematic study of large samples is emphasized.
