[Nursing homes for the elderly in the state of Nuevo León].
A service survey was conducted in nine nursing homes in the state of Nuevo León, using an instrument designed to qualify the following areas: medical service, nursing, nutrition, psychological service, activities, chart review, internal regulations and premises. The findings are presented in detail and discussed. The creation of teaching nursing homes is recommended.
