Management of occlusive disease of the subclavian and innominate arteries.
Occlusive disease of the supraaortic brachiocephalic arteries causes cerebrovascular insufficiency associated with a variety of abnormal flow patterns. Surgical correction of properly selected patients yielded durable results in 25 patients. Staged operations, correcting carotid bifurcation lesions before brachiocephalic reconstructions, were preferred.
