Is the federal government serious about health IT?
No matter what happens in Washington, the push for widespread adoption of electronic health records will not disappear. The value of health IT to providers in reporting the clinical outcomes data needed for quality-of-care incentives is too great to let this happen. What's more, an inquisitive public is demanding that the latest and greatest technology be used to improve patient safety.
