Simon Byl has explored all the passages in the Hebraic Bible where God is considered sometimes the cause of disease, sometimes the means of healing. He reveals a great number of points of view common to the Biblical literature and to the Ancient Greek literature, with regard to divine aetiology.
Phrenitis has a history, from Hippocrates to Pinel. This study is owed to two scholars of different disciplines; the first is a classicist, the other a psychiatrist. It only concerns "phrenitis" in the Hippocratic Corpus. The authors have come to the conclusion that phrenitis has a pathology similar to the organic delirium.

This article studies the scope and the rationale of the geographical data in the Hippocratic writings of the fifth and fourth centuries BC. It is shown, for instance, that the authors of the gynecological treatises display a preference for medicaments coming from remote countries. The authors of the Epidemics usually mention the places where the patients come from, an area generally corresponding to Thessaly and Thracia, where Hippocrates himself was said to have resided.
