[Action of microbe-antagonists on bacilli and corynebacteria of the skin of the breast in nursing women].

Five microbes-antagonists are studied for their inhibitory action on 769 strains of bacilli (241) and corynebacteria (528) isolated from the mammary gland skin of 120 nursing women on the 2nd-5th day after labour. Escherichia coli M-17 and Mycococcus krassilinikovi are established to possess the highest antagonistic properties against the spore-bearing aerobic and coryneform bacteria. Bifidobacterium bifidum has exerted a moderate antagonistic action on the culture under study, Bacillus subtilis has exerted a strong inhibitory action on corynebacteria. B. licheniformis has slightly inhibited the both bacterial groups.

[Effect of tranquilizers on the motivation components and the tactics of operator activities].

The effect of tranquilizers on the motivation components and tactics of operator's activities was investigated, using a model of discrete tracking of a moving object. The correlation-matrix method was applied to determine the region of no error correction. It was shown that specific changes in the tactics of operator's activities developing in response to tranquilizers and reduced motivation were identical. It appears probable that decreased motivation of failure avoidance forms the phenomenon of preparedness of risk taking and optimization of operator's activities when tranquilizers are used under psychological conflict conditions.

[Study of heat-protective effects of bromantane at various levels of overheating].

The thermoprotective properties of bromantane were studied during overheating. Simultaneously with the known effects on heat exchange and sensitivity to high temperatures bromantane caused a decrease in ranges of heat tolerance, increased the rate of SVTK growth as well as altered protein metabolism and antioxidant protection and also affected the autonomic regulation of heat exchange which were essential in adaptation. At the same time, during ergothermal loading accompanied by any troubles in evaporation and heat exchange, marked thermoprotective efficiency of bromantane was compared for its ability to improve muscle dynamometry and hemodynamics as compared with control values.

[The taxonomic structure and nature of the dominance in the skin microbiocenosis of the breasts].

The species composition of skin microbiocenosis of mammary glands in 120 nulliparae, 175 pregnant women and 120 women at the puerperal period has been studied. The dominant species of the most important ecological groups of bacteria have been established: Staphylococcus epidermidis, Micrococcus luteus and Corynebacterium lipophylicum. Permanent and additional species of the microbiocenosis have been found to form its cenotype at different periods of childbirth. They manifest by the change of the absolutely dominating species in the skin biocenosis of pregnant women and the transformation of the structure of the cenotype at the puerperal period. Proofs of the participation of the resident microflora of the skin in the formation of the cenotype of the microbiocenosis under study are presented.

[The combined use of alpha-adrenoblockaders and calcium antagonists in the etiopathogenetic therapy of cardiovascular diseases].

The review presents experimental and clinical findings of the mechanisms of development of cardiovascular diseases and shows a key role of impaired blood coagulability and lipid metabolism in the pathogenesis of these diseases. An emphasis is laid on the fact that the processes of hemostasis and lipid metabolism are controlled mainly through alpha-adrenoreceptors and calcium channels. The effects of alpha-adrenoblockers and calcium antagonists on the mechanisms responsible for the etiopathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases are considered. Comments on the use of beta-adrenoblockers are also made.

[The mechanisms of the thermal protective action of atsefen].

The study of thermoprotective properties of acephen (300 mg, single dosage) showed an increase (compared to that of placebo) in the maximum endurable time under thermal loading in healthy volunteers: optimization of evaporative heat exchange regime; reduction of the final values of reactive anxiety and fatigue and decrease in the rate of skin temperature growth. In combination with the data of biochemical analysis of peripheral blood which demonstrated positive changes in hormone, lipid, protein, and energy metabolism as well as in vegetative regulation, the results testify to a substantial thermoprotective potential of acephen attributed to the wide range of its pharmacological activity.
