Chronic painless pancreatitis.

This paper describes four patients whose chief symptoms were steatorrhoea and loss of weight. Despite the absence of a history of abdominal pain investigations showed that these patients had chronic pancreatitis, which responded to medical treatment. The pathological findings in two of these cases and in six which came to necropsy are reported.

The management of fulminant ulcerative colitis.

This paper describes the management of 23 patients with fulminant ulcerative colitis, 22 of whom had early surgery when medical treatment was unsuccessful. There were two deaths, a mortality of 9%.
