State home and community-based services for the aged under Medicaid.
Expansion of home and community-based services for the elderly has been a focus of attention for some time by policymakers, advocates for development of a more comprehensive long-term care system, and consumers alike. However, the development of a comprehensive alternative long-term care system has been slow to evolve. Increased public financing for home and community-based services has been even more limited, thus inhibiting expansion of these services.
