[Equilibrium function in patients with acute sensorineural hearing loss].
Equilibrium function was investigated with computer-assisted stabilography (CS) in patients with acute neurosensory hypoacusis. This new diagnostic tool was employed in combination with extended vestibulometric and audiologic examinations. Correlations were found between stabilographic and vestibulometric findings. CS is recommended as a method of screening diagnosis in examination of patients with imbalanced equilibrium.

[High-frequency active oscillation of the head in testing vestibuloocular reflex in healthy subjects].
An original device has been designed in the ENT clinic of the Russian Medical University in cooperation with GUTA-clinic laboratory. The device registers high-frequency active oscillation of the head. This oscillation test was tried in 20 healthy individuals aged 20 to 60 years and was found easy to perform and highly informative. This technique can be used as an additional vestibular test in assessing function of the vestibular analyser.

[Vestibular disorders in presenile and senile patients].
Vestibular function and dynamic vision were studied in healthy subjects over 60 years of age using functional tests based on computer stabilography. The vestibuloocular reflex was analysed in the test with highly active head shaking. A decline in vestibular function efficiency, somatosensory dissociations were found. Specific features of vestibuloocular interaction in the older patients are shown.

[Effectiveness of bioparox treatment in acute inflammatory diseases of the upper airways].
Acute inflammation of the upper respiratory tract was treated with bioparox in 40 patients and conventionally in 20 patients. The assessment of the treatment effect was carried out by subjective and objective responses, rhinomanometry, trends in cell composition and phagocytic activity of leukocytes in smears from nasal mucosa. The data obtained provided evidence for high efficacy of bioparox which promoted faster regress of subjective and objective manifestations of the inflammation.
