[Sensorimotor reactions in students of high school age during different types of the weather].

The neuro-dynamical characteristics of the higher nervous activity of senior pupils in different weather types were investigated. The group of practically healthy pupils was given tests on investigation of the speed of the simple sensomotorical reaction (SSR), sigma of the simple sensomotorical reaction (Sigma), the medial speed of the choice reaction (CR), the speed of the choice reaction for the right (CRR) and the left (CRL) hand. The study was conducted on the days with favorable, conditionally favorable and unfavorable medical-meteorological conditions. The results of the study of the neuro-dynamical characteristics of the higher nervous activity of senior pupils give the possibility to make a conclusion that they decrease as the weather conditions become worse. Senior school age is characterized by the improvement of the neuro-dynamical characteristics of the higher nervous activity. The girls of the senior school age have shown higher results in different weather types than the boys.

[Characteristics of visual acuity and contrast sensitivity in students of different ages].

To investigate the peculiarities of the visual acuity and contrastive sensitivity 60 healthy pupils (120 eyes) of different ages (7-16) were examined with a help of the computer diagnostic program "Oculus-W" V95. The increase in both the visual acuity and the contrastive sensitivity with age have been shown, as well as the parametres of their normal levels for different ages have been determined. It makes estimating the functional state of the visual analyzer more exact. The processes of making the visual acuity and the contrast sensitivity in the schoolchildren have been proved to interdependent.

[Central hemodynamics in different types of weather under orthostatic and clinical conditions].

The results of research of weather influence on the state of the central haemodynamics in primary condition (after 10 minutes adaptation lying on the back) and on 1, 5, 10 minutes of ortostatic and clinostatic tests are presented in the work. It's established that reactivity of the cardiovascular system on ortostasis is decreased in unfavourable weather conditions. It was observed greater decreasing of striking and heart induces compare comparatively with ones in favorable weather. These facts prove the state of disadaptation in unfavourable weather conditions.

[The effect of convaflavin on lipid peroxidation in the heart in experimental thyrotoxicosis].

The effect of convaflavin in doses of 30 and 45 mg/kg on lipid peroxidation in the heart was studied in white rats with experimental thyrotoxicosis. A noticeable decrease of the concentration of diene conjugates and malonic dialdehyde was revealed as was activation of catalase and peroxidase under the influence of convaflavin administered in a dose of 45 mg/kg.

[The action of reserpine on cholinergic processes in the heart].

Experiments on white rats show that reserpine creates conditions for acetylcholine accumulation in the heart. In early periods after reserpine administration (within 8 hours) this process depends on restriction of mediator hydrolysis. In more distant periods (within 24 hours) synthesis activation adds to the mentioned mechanism.

[Carotinoid content in rats in experimental thyrotoxicosis].

The content of carotenoids in rats in experimental thyrotoxicosis was studied. It was found that the content of total and unsaponified carotenoids in the heart, red cells, and serum of the experimental animals was reduced.

[The efficacy of phenol antioxidants in vitro and in vivo].

The antioxidative activity of ionol, 2,2'methylene-bis(6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol), 2,2-ethylenebis (6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol), 2,2-propylenebis (6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol, 2,2-butylenebis (6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol) was studied in models and in albino rats with experimental hyperthyroidism. The most intensive extinguishing of induced chemiluminescence was found to be produced by 2,2-methylenebis (6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol) and 2,2-ethylenebis (6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol). These substances produced the most inhibitory effects on lipid peroxidation in the heart of hyperthyroidism animals.
