[Therapeutic experiences with clotiazepam (Trecalmo), a new anxiolytic drug from the thienodiazepine group. Results of a field study on 186 patients].

The efficacy and the compatibility of the new anxiolytic Trecalmo (Clotiazepam) were investigated by means of a field trial covering 186 patients, suffering from anxiety and tension as well as from psychosomatic disorders. The new drug proved to be remarkably effective in symptoms as anxiety, restlessness, irritations, tension headache as well as functional cardiovascular diseases and digestive disorders. The compatibility was good.

[Studies on the long acting neuroleptic agent flupenthixol decanoate--a review (author's transl)].

The development of long acting neuroleptic agents is considered as important progress in the treatment of schizophrenic psychoses. An outline of pharmacological and clinical results with flupenthixol decanoate is given. Special attention is paid to pharmacokinetics, the methods for determining plasma concentration, to the profile of action and duration of action, to other dosage as well as to safety. Importance is also placed on the possible use for prophylaxis of affective psychoses.

[Clinical trial of the new percutaneously active antirheumatic etofenamate. Summarising report (author's transl)].

2-(2-Hydroxyethoxy)ethyl-N-(a,a,a-trifluoro-m-tolyl)anthranilate (etofenamate, Rheumon Gel), a percutaneously active antirheumatic containing etofenamate as active principle has been subjected to clinical studies in both hospitalized and out-patients in various types of rheumatic disease. These trials included double-blind studies against placebo gel, controlled comparative studies against two topical commercial products (ointmentI: combination of 2-hydroxyethyl salicylate and p-menthan-3-ol; ointment II: 3,5-dioxo-1,2-diphenyl-4-n-butylpyrazolidine) and open trials for efficacy and tolerance. Of the 760 patients taking part in the trials, 556 were treated with Rheumon Gel.
