Data base for risk assessment.

Health risk assessment associated with exposure to toxic chemicals is a process consisting of three basic elements: (i) hazard identification, (ii) risk estimation, and (iii) risk evaluation. Each of these elements provides a data base for making decisions regarding the control of chemical hazards for the prevention of health risk. Each of these elements involves various degrees of uncertainty, yet credibility of the management of risk requires that risk assessment be made with the highest possible accuracy and degree of confidence.
