[Effects of thermal injury on the reactivity of the neuroendocrine system].

To study reactivity of hypothalamo-hypophyseal-adrenal system to stress in patients with thermal skin burns we determined the content of cortisol in blood, chemosensitivity of glucocorticoid receptors on thrombocytes and effects of dexamethasone infusions on these parameters. In patients with normal reactivity of the organism and increased initial level of cortisol its content was shown to be increased by 34.1% in 2-3 hours after infusion of dexamethasone, but it decreased in 5-6 hours and subsequently. In patients with low initial level of cortisol dexamethasone caused prolongation of the hormonal response (the level of cortisol increased by 57.9% in 2-3 hours; by 27.1% in 5-6 hours, and by 16.9% in 24 hours as compared to the initial level), which is a manifestation of its modifying effect on the reactivity of the system to stress. In these patients decrease in chemosensitivity of glucocorticoid receptors should be taken into consideration at analysis of the inflammatory reaction owing to modifying effects of steroid hormones on the cytokine production.

[Interleukin-2 and interleukin-4 blood levels in sinusitis].

In acute inflammation the content of cytokines (IL-2, IL-4) is increase. Especially considerable is increase the content of anti-inflammation interleukins (IL-2, IL-4) in the blood. There are different displacements in chronical inflammation: the content of IL-2 and is increase, the content IL-4 is decrease. The question about a pathogenic role of established facts is discussing. In result of treatment the content of anti-inflammation interleukins in the blood of ill people has increase, and the content of anti-inflammation cytokine was decrease. The disbalance of anti-inflammation cytokines is reflect the acuteness a from of treatment and disposition of treatment and disposition of interleukin regulation of inflammation.

[Role of polymerase chain reaction in diagnosing tuberculosis of the bladder and male sex organs].

Detection of M. tuberculosis DNA by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and standard technique was compared in 76 new cases of urogenital tuberculosis. In the urinary test PCR confirmed tuberculous etiology of the disease and corresponded to M. tuberculosis detection in 27 (60%) of 45 patients with urinary tuberculosis. M. tuberculosis DNA detection rose significantly in patients with mycobacteriuria (71%) and in examination of aspirates from isolated renal cavern, blocked kidney, epididymis, prostate and seminal vesicles. Treatment for 1 month and longer transforms the positive result into the negative one. Of 16 patients with tuberculosis of male sexual organs M. tuberculosis DNA were detected by PCR in prostatic secretion in 43.7%, in ejaculate in 93%. This did not correlate with detection of M. tuberculosis. Thus, PCR is recommended for instant diagnosis and screening before further examination and cannot be the only method in identification of urogenital tuberculosis.

[Effect of selective activation of central serotoninergic systems on the course of the early post-traumatic period].

The central administration of the serotonin agonists of receptors type 1A (Campiron) and type 2 (1-(2,4,5-trimethoxy)-2-aminopropanome) was experimentally demonstrated to cause a significant decrease in mortality rates and cardiovascular disorders in white rats traumatized according to Kennon. This effect was realized by maximally activating the hypothalamo-neurohypophysis, hypothalamo-hypophysis-adrenocortical systems and blocking activation of the hypothalamo-hypophysis-thyroidal system.

[Effect of selective activation and blockade of the central dopaminergic system on the course of the early post-traumatic period].

Acute experiments on white rats traumatized according to Kenon demonstrated that the central administration of the dopamine receptor agonist apomorphine led a reduction in mortality rates and an increase in stroke and heart indices. The latter was due to the significant activation of the hypothalamo-hypophysis-thyroidal system. The use of sulpiride as a specific dopamine receptor blocker increased mortality rates and decreased stroke and heart indices. This was accompanied by the maximum activation of the hypothalamo-neurohypophyseal system.

[Role of lipid peroxidation, prostanoids and cyclic nucleotides in the individual resistance of animals to exogenous catecholamines].

The role of the lipid peroxidation, power of the antioxidants, peculiarities of synthesis of some prostanoids and cyclic nucleotides in determination of the rabbit individual sensitivity to exogenous catecholamines was studied. Some peculiarities of the initial state of homeostasis both of the survived and lost rabbits are demonstrated. It is determined that the low stability to izadrine's administration of the lost rabbits may be associated with the higher basal activity of the lipid peroxidation and the smaller antioxidative power. The peculiarities of the arachidonic acid's metabolism, which are associated with this, modulate the activity of the cyclic nucleotide enzymes. The latter may mobilize the cAMP-dependent mechanisms of the intracellular hormone signal transduction.

[The interrelationships of the hypothalamo-neurohypophyseal, renin-angiotensin-aldosterone and prostanoid systems i regulating central hemodynamics in the acute period of traumatic disease].

Experiments on white male rats with a traumatic shock by the Cannon method have permitted establishing that expressed activation of hypothalamo-neurohypophysial, renin-angiotensin-aldosterone and prostanoid systems induced disorders in the cardiovascular system, namely, a decrease in the heart stroke, growth of the vascular tension in the first hours of the acute period of the disease and an increase in the peripheral vascular resistance. Besides, the renin plasma activity falls, which may be a sanogenesis mechanism preventing redundant stimulation of the vessels and myocardium.
