The genome sequence of a muscid fly, Hydrotaea militaris (Meigen, 1826) (Diptera: Muscidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Hydrotaea militaris (Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Muscidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 703.03 megabases and 1 760.39 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (96.2%) is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 18.83 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

Diptera

The genome sequence of the muscid fly, Hydrotaea similis Meade, 1887 (Diptera: Muscidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Hydrotaea similis (muscid fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Muscidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 884.66 megabases and 852.78 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (90.83%) is scaffolded into 5 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 20.27 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

Diptera

The genome sequence of an opomyzid fly, Geomyza tripunctata Fallen, 1823 (Diptera: Opomyzidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Geomyza tripunctata (opomyzid fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Opomyzidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 223.30 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.67%) is scaffolded into 3 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.03 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

Cereal Fly

The genome sequence of the Silver Colonel, Odontomyia argentata (Fabricius, 1794) (Diptera: Stratiomyidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Odontomyia argentata (Silver Colonel; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Stratiomyidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 950.48 megabases and 1 937.58 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (95.92%) is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 17.0 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

Diptera

The genome sequence of a muscid fly, Lispocephala verna (Fabricius, 1794) (Diptera: Muscidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Lispocephala verna (muscid fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Muscidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 987.71 megabases and 934.62 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (95.8%) is scaffolded into 5 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.34 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

Diptera

The genome sequence of a blow fly, Melanomya nana (Meigen, 1826) (Diptera: Calliphoridae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Melanomya nana (blow fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Calliphoridae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 391.98 megabases and 1 424.34 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.62%) is scaffolded into 5 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 27.12 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

Diptera

The genome sequence of a hoverfly , Neoascia tenur (Harris, 1780) (Diptera: Syrphidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual femal Neoascia tenur (hoverfly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Syrphidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 491.77 megabases. Most of the assembly (97.23%) is scaffolded into 4 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.31 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

Diptera

The genome sequence of the bronze furrow bee, Seladonia tumulorum (Linnaeus, 1758).

We present the haploid genome assembly of an individual male Seladonia tumulorum (the bronze furrow bee; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Halictidae). The genome sequence is 479 megabases in span. Most of the assembly (84.28%) is scaffolded into 17 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome was also assembled and is 17.3 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 19,308 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
