We herein describe an example of gastric linitis plastica metastatic to the urinary bladder. A comprehensive appraisal of the literature yields only one similar reported case. Our patient experienced an objective partial response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

Gases liberated during transurethral electrosurgery are common to all tissues with hydrogen produced in high concentration. We postulate that the majority of hydrogen is derived from electrolysis of intracellular water. Only with the addition of outside oxygen does the gaseous mixture become potentially explosive.
