[The use of actovegin in peptic ulcer].

60 patients with exacerbated gastric and duodenal ulcer were studied. Summary clinical effect was significantly better (by 12.34%, P < 0.05) in patients who were co-administered actovegin as compared to those who received conventional treatment (cholinolytics, antacids, reparative drugs and preparations of bismuth). The first group demonstrated more vigorous amelioration of pain, endoscopic involution and disappearance of disseminated intravascular coagulation signs as well as shorter hospital time.

[The effect of chenotherapy on the reservoir function of the gallbladder in cholelithiasis patients].

The effect of chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA) on the reservoir function of the gallbladder was studied in 46 patients with cholesterol cholelithiasis. There was a dependence between a clear increase of filling of the gallbladder in patients treated by this method with subsequent sharp reduction of its size and development of dyspepsia and diarrhea. In 14 patients increase of the gallbladder against the background of chemotherapy was not authentic but no dyspeptic phenomena occurred. Thus, decompensation of the reservoir function of the gallbladder in patients with cholelithiasis against the background of chemotherapy are manifested by a significant increase of the gallbladder size with subsequent emptying of bile into the duodenum and development of collagenous diarrhea.

[The efferent substitution correction of blood trace element disorder in patients with chronic kidney failure].

Reasons are given for expediency of correction of dystraceelementemia in chronic renal insufficiency. Following exposure to the treatment with the multivitaminotraceelement drug three-we PLUS and alpha-erythropoietin eprex patients with terminal renal failure prolonged by chronic hemodialysis (n = 16) demonstrated a decrease in blood concentration of toxic trace elements and in dysbalance of essential trace elements, alleviation of clinical symptoms, increased tolerance to physical loads, improvement of hematological indices and quality of life.

[Graded pressure of the abdomen in the differential diagnosis of abdominal lesions].

With the aid of the submitted diagnostic option significant improvement is achieved in the accuracy of identification of injuries to the abdominal vegetative ganglia (by 27 to 32%) through the use of quantitative measurements of threshold pain sensitivity (TPS). It is the deeply situated tissues in sites of projection of abdominal vegetative ganglia and in high reflexogenous zones of neurometameres innervating organs of the abdominal cavity that are subjected to graded pressuration which is performed through the anterior abdominal wall using a device indicating pain sensitivity [3]. TPS is determined for each zone under study comparing it to TPS in healthy subjects. The injury to the relevant abdominal vegetative ganglion is evidenced by TPS maximum deviation from the norm in the zone.

[The role of bile acids in the regulation of human gallbladder filling].

An artificial increase of a pool of bile acids due to administration of dehydrocholic, chenodesoxycholic acid preparations and dry bile in 22 healthy people and 179 patients with chronic cholecystitis has been studied for its effect on regulation of the gallbladder filling on an empty stomach using daily echocholecystometry. Filling of the gallbladder under artificial sequestration of bile acids during duodenal probing, enterosorption and cholatogenic diarrhea was studied in 55 patients with cholecystitis. It has been proved that an increase of the pool of bile acids induces intensification of the gallbladder filling on an empty stomach, while a decrease of the pool, vice versa, causes attenuation of its filling. It is found out a size of a pool of bile acids in the human organism is an important humoral factor in the physiological mechanism of the gallbladder filling regulation.

[The effect of the SKN charcoal enterosorbent on the clinico-laboratory indices of patients with chronic circulatory failure].

A total of 85 patients presenting with chronic stage II A-II B circulatory insufficiency were studied to find out whether it is possible to combine cardiac glycosides (digoxin and strophanthin) under their parenteral administration with peroral course intake of the enterosorbent SKN as treatment of ischemic heart disease. Combination of cardiac glycosides with SKN was found to make for enhancement of efficiency of cardiotonic therapy, with the presentation of the dyspeptic syndrome getting more attenuated, cardiac arrhythmias becoming less frequent, hypercholesterinemia, hyperbetalipoproteidemia less apparent, cardiohemodynamics and central hemodynamics improved, ATP concentration in blood erythrocytes increased.
