[Occupational dermatoses in workers of a prefabricated houses' factory].

Dermatological examinations in workers of the Dwelling Houses Factory were performed 1-5 years apart. On the whole 1011 subjects have been examined. The most frequent professional disease was oil acne brought about by the contact with anti-adhesive oils. The effects of the kind of anti-adhesive oils, the post at work (degree of exposure to the contact with oil) as well as the work period on the acne changes have been analyzed. It was found that the most acnogenic preparation was formol, then ceramic oil while isoform proved to be much less active. It was shown that the longer the work period the more decreased the oil acne morbidity. A low percentage of allergic contact eruption (1.8%) is probably related to the highly mechanized production cycle.

[Occupational dermatoses of workers in a detergent factory].

133 female and 34 male workers of a detergents factory were subdivided into 3 groups according to the pathological state of their skin. The 129 persons of the first group showed slight disorders of the skin of their hands and forearms, the 31 subjects in the second group were free from skin disorders while the 7 persons of the third group showed eczematous symptoms. Patch tests were performed in these subjects using the following allergens: potassium dichromate, nickel sulfate, cobaltous chloride, formaline and paraphenylenediamine. Moreover, patch tests and wetting tests were carried out using the detergent powder manufactured in the factory. The results were mostly negative. In 66 cases of skin disorders, functional tests were performed that revealed disturbances of the barrier function of the skin (diminution of the alkali resistance by 62.2%, prolongation of the neutralization time by 75.6%, increase of the permeability by 33.2%). In 81.5% of the workers, a dermatosis due to overstrain was diagnosed.

[23-year course of lymphomatoid papulosis with transition into T-cell cutaneous lymphoma].

A 63-year old patient who had suffered from mild lymphomatoid papulosis with periods of relapse and spontaneous remissions is presented. After 23 years of that chronic dermatosis he developed a malignant lymphoma covering skin, lymph nodes and internal organs, which was confirmed by histopathological examination. Despite intensive chemo and X-ray therapy the patient died. The importance of continuous follow-up of usually benign lymphomatoid papulosis is stressed.
