[NO2 exposure and hydroxyproline excretion].

The determination of hydroxyproline (HOP) and of the HOP-creatinine ratio in urine, respectively, is according to the literature probably a parameter of NO2-caused collagen damage of the respiratory organs and therefore a parameter which could be used for biological monitoring of indoor exposures. Own studies on children from gas or electrical house keeping presented no significant differences. Various interpretations are discussed, further investigations seem to be indicated.

[EDP (electronic data processing)-oriented special documentation in neurology--extension to a computer epicrisis].

The contribution describes a final neurological documentation system for in-patients that permits the computerized print-out of an epicrisis. The computer automatically summarizes the elementary findings and presents them as a number of important neurological syndromes. The structure of the documentation and the experience gained in the course of many years of routine application are described. The system has proved to be basically sound under the conditions existing at a university hospital and a specialized hospital for psychiatry and neurology and has proved applicable for a large proportion of the patients without major restrictions.

[Electronic data processing-compatible documentation in neurology--developmental stage of neurologic findings for a specialty-specific scientific evaluation system and print-out of a computer assisted epicrisis].

A computer compatible neurological examination record has been drawn up for a neurological documentation called "ADOK Neurologie" as part of a scheme for the basic registration of patient-related information from all patients receiving ward treatment at the Medical Academy Dresden and the County Neurological and Psychiatric Hospital Arnsdorf. The examination questionnaire consists of dichotomous questions and permits up to 1,525 separate items of neurological information per patient to be stored and processed. The information permits purposeful scientific analysis and computer print-out of the epicrisis. The article reports on the structure of the questionnaire, the prospects and limits of the method and experience gained during many years of practical use.

[Simplified dokumentation and evaluation in abortion patients using data-based medical records].

Now as ever the carrying out of abortions demands from all clinics concerned measures reducing the expenditure of time for every patient with the medical treatment remaining consistently good. Besides this, certain problems - such as complications and social gynaecological questions - must be registered in a better way than it was till now in order to be able to answer scientific questions on this basis. Therefore, a new printed form for the clinical history--evolved particularly for women wishing an abortion - was introduced into the womens clinic of the Medical Academy. It simplifies documentation which the information being sufficient. By registering them in a computer there are favourable conditions for ascertain the findings and informing central institutions.

[Psychiatry and EDP. First experience with specialty-specific additional documentation-psychiatry with computer epicrisis].

A supplementary documentation on psychiatry, of which the purpose is to systematically collect certain predetermined patient data, was prepared as part of the electronic data processing project "Basic processes of patient-related information processing" which has been mapped out by workers at the Dresden Medical Academy. A psychiatric "computer-based epicrisis" has been formulated and introduced into daily psychiatric practice. A brief description of documents serving as vouchers is followed by a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of such a method as well as the basic possibilities of development.
