[Effects of biologically-active dietary supplement from marine biology on cholinesterase activity and blood lipid peroxidation in humans].

Influence of dietary supplement Tinrostim-C on cholinesterase (ChE) activity and serum lipids peroxidation (LP) in patients whose work connects with emotional stress was examined. Activity of ChE was measured by Ellman calorimetric method (with acetylthiocholin as substrate), LP--by fluorimetric method with malone dialdehyde. Tinrostim-C was given three times a day in 0.5 g. On the 10th day of taking the preparation an activity of serum ChE increased 23.5% higher and had been staying higher during the whole period of observation. In vitro experiments showed an activating effect of Tinrostim-C and piracetam for serum ChE. The level of LP being initially higher was decreasing to values close to normal and had been staying at decreased level during the whole period of observation.

[Encephaloangioscintigraphy in the diagnosis of posttraumatic cerebral venous circulatory disorders].

Encephaloangioscintigraphy performed in 30 patients with a closed craniocerebral trauma has shown simultaneous inhibition of the venous cerebral blood flow both in the vascular regions of the cerebral hemispheres and in the lateral sinuses indicating the common pathogenesis of disorders of the venous circulation in these parts of the circulatory bed. The most informative characteristic feature of the venous outflow is a period of RP half-life, determined on a radiocirculogram of the brain. The diagnostic efficacy of the above method in the detection of disorders of the venous circulation of the brain in some vascular regions provides an opportunity for a purpose-oriented use of adequate methods of reflexotherapy.

[Clinico-morphological characteristics of the family of diseases: cytomegalic inclusion disease, iatrogenic thesaurismosis and septicemia].

The clinicomorphological manifestations of iatrogenic thesaurismosis that developed because of infusion therapy of patients with plasma substitutes were studied using autopsy and operative material from 44 deceased and 2 operated children aged 1 month to 3 years. An experimental disease was obtained in 16 rabbits. Cytomegalia was discovered in 23 deceased children with iatrogenic thesaurismosis and sepsis in 18 children. In 12 cases, sepsis was of iatrogenic nature. An assumption is worded about the three-member family of those diseases undergoing substantial pathomorphism.

[Idiopathic arterial calcinosis in children and pulmonary giant-cell elastolysis].

4 lethal cases of idiopathic arterial calcinosis (IAC) in three girls (1 month 10 days, 2 months and 3 months of age) and one 8-month-old boy are described. The authors' own material and literature data confirm the autosomal recessive character of the disease. The initial step in the IAC morphogenesis belongs to the genetically conditioned elastolysis with the participation of giant multinuclear cells with subsequent arterial calcinosis. Differential diagnosis of IAC with secondary arterial calcinosis is recommended.

[Comparative analysis of pancreatic scintigraphy and results of surgical treatment of patients with pancreatic cancer].

The results of radiologic investigation in 47 patients admitted to the clinic for pancreatic cancer were compared with the findings of the performed operative intervention. Visualization of the pancreas with 75 Selenomethionine was performed on the gamma-camera FO-GAMMA-IV (USA). A number of differential diagnostic signs of the pancreatic pathology was revealed, dependence between the character and degree of pancreatic changes on a scintigram, and volume of the operative intervention performed was noted. A variant of computerized processing of scintigrams with regard to the activity of the administered radiopharmaceutical preparation is suggested.

[Antipyrine test in the diagnosis of chronic cholecystitis].

Functional inhibition of the drug liver metabolism seems to start at early subclinical stages of cholecystitis. Antipyrine++ level in the initial saliva sample drops significantly and continues to change with growing structural impairment of the biliary system in progression of chronic noncalculous cholecystitis into calculous one.

[Hepatobiliary scintigraphy in the diagnosis of gallstones in young people].

The article describes results of using dynamic hepatobiliary scintigraphy in 43 young patients with chronic calculous cholecystitis. High informative value of the method for diagnosis of morpho-functional changes in the organs of the hepatobiliary system is shown, hyperbilirubinemia included. More than in half of the patients alterations of the absorptive-excretory functions of the liver and motor function of the gallbladder were revealed. Their direct relationship with the duration of the disease and degree of the inflammatory process in the biliary tract is established.

[Clinico-morphological characteristics of the sequelae of the parenteral administration of gemodes and polyglucin to children].

In 38 dead children and in a resected lung of an operated child, the alterations were discovered, connected with accumulation in tissues of hemodez and polyglucin after their parenteral administration. The same picture of the so-called iatrogenic thesaurosis was reproduced in 16 rabbits that received the above preparations intravenously. Three degrees of accumulation were distinguished which directly depended on the dose and time of synthetic plasma substituents administration, both on clinical and experimental material. It is recommended to take into consideration the alterations revealed in this study in the diagnosis of some enzymo- and lymphadenopaties, giant-cell vasculitis, and granulomatous processes. The secondary immunodeficiency is suggested in children with iatrogenic thesaurosis, on the basis of the disease histories and morphological data.
