[An improvement in occupational medical expertise in dermatology and venereology].

Poor organization of medical expert evaluation results in unjustified labor time loss and waste of social insurance money. Test controls and check-ups of the activities of outpatient prophylactic centers have revealed inadequate theoretical knowledge of the basic aspects of medical expert evaluation of the working capacity and poor practical skills of physicians in keeping files and records. Analysis of the status of medical expert evaluation of the working capacity of dermatological and venereological patients and analysis of physicians' scope of knowledge in this field help outline a comprehensive program for elimination of the shortcomings in this work.

[Experience with the use of an immunoenzyme analysis method in the diagnosis and removal from the rolls of patients with urogenital gonorrhea].

A total of 313 patients have been examined with the use of microscopy, cultures, and enzyme immunoassay (EIA) techniques, EIA, a highly sensitive and specific method, has helped cut down the time of the patients' examinations.

[Protective dermatologic agents with universal action].

Individual protective dermatologic agents are an indispensable component of the complex of prophylactic measures for occupational dermatologic diseases control. The last decade has seen a variety of new protective agents: industrial allergen inactivators, effective surfactants, and universal creams. Plamin, a universal cream manufactured in Sweden, is characterized by the optimal protective properties and is resistant to many aggressive media.

[Occupational phytodermatoses and their prevention].

The growing employment of the population in agriculture and wide use of plants in industry lead to an increase in the incidence rate of phytodermatoses. The strongest allergens are Ambrosia and Artemisia pollen, as well as exotic trees wood. Measures for the prevention of occupational phytodermatoses are an integral part of the complex program for the improvement of specialized medical care in the rural regions. Patients suffering from occupational phytodermatoses should be subjected to regular check-ups.
