[Electrolyte metabolism in hypothyroidism].

Sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium content was determined in the blood plasma, erythrocytes and the 24-hour urine. There was revealed an increased sodium content in erythrocytes, a fall of plasma potassium level, a reduction of urinary potassium excretion and of potassium-magnesium coefficient of the urine; a tendency to increase in the calcium and magnesium level was seen in erythrocytes. Only calcium content in erythrocytes became normal after the treatment.
