[The effect of ATP on the cell membrane structure].

ATP influence on the structure of plasma membranes thymocytes of cattle was studied. Fluorescence anisotropy of tryptophan residues of membrane proteins, fluorescence anisotropy of 3-methoxybenzanetron and fluorescence intensity of 1-anilinonaphthalene-8-sulphonate were determined. Changes of tryptophan fluorescence anisotropy and of ANS fluorescence intensity were established. It is supposed that the observed changes are connected with the change of membrane proteins structure and plasma membrane charge.

[Effect of magnesium ions on Ca2+, Mg2+-ATPase on plasma membranes of thymocytes].

Ca2+, Mg(2+)-ATP-ase of plasmatic membranes of thymocites were studied as affected by Mg ions. A complex character of the reaction rate dependence on Mg2+ concentration in the range of 0.002-25. OmM was revealed. The data obtained indicate the existence of Mg(2+)-binding centre of ATP-ase which regulates the enzyme catalytic activity.

[Effect of cell membrane lipid peroxidation on Ca(2+)-ATPase activity].

Effects of non-enzymic peroxidation of lipids of thymocytes plasmic membranes on the activity of Ca(2+)-ATPase was studied. Calculations were made of kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of enzymic reaction and changes of the membrane potential during peroxidation of lipids.

[Effect of calcium ions on plasma membrane structure].

The structure of thymocyte's plasma membranes was studied as affected by calcium ions (0-1.126 mM). The fluorescence intensity of 1-anilinonaphthalene-8-sulphonate, the epimerization degree of pyrene and fluorescence anisotropy of membrane proteins were studied. The change of electrochemical properties of membranes, conformation of membrane proteins and lipid fluidity has been shown.

[Change in the structure of the lipid component of the plasma membrane during extraction of peripheral proteins].

Effect of peripheral proteins on the structure of lipids of thymocyte plasmic membranes was studied using the fluorescent probes 1-anilinonaphthalene-8 sulfonate, 3-methoxybenzanthrone, 4-dimethylaminochalcone and pyrene. It is shown that the extraction of peripheral proteins evokes the change of lipids structure and electrochemical properties of the membrane.

[Interaction of ferricytochrome c with liposomes].

The binding of ferricytochrome c to liposomes consisting of phosphatidylcholine mixtures with cardiolipin (3:1) or phosphatidylserine (3:1) has been investigated. Experimental data have been analyzed in terms of two-dimensional models of large ligand adsorption. The equilibrium parameters of ferricytochrome c interaction with a phospholipid bilayer are determined.

[The effect of methemoglobin and ferricytochrome c on the lipid bilayer structure].

The effect of ferricytochrome c and methemoglobin on the model phospholipid membrane structure has been investigated using fluorescent probes: 1-anilinonaphthalene-8-sulphonate, 4-dimethylaminochalcone and 3-methoxybenzanthrone. Ferricytochrome c and methemoglobin is found to cause the disordering of the phospholipid bilayer surface region.

[Study of bromthymol blue binding with plasma membranes].

It has been established that sorption of bromthymol blue by membranes is due to interaction with integral proteins. The value of the bond is ascribed both to the structural state and electrochemical property of membranes.

[Effect of ultrasound on the ATPase activity of brain microsomes].

Ultrasonic effects (0.88 MHz, 0.8 Wt X cm-2) on Na+, K+-ATPase and Mg2+-ATPase changed the values KM, Vmax, delta H not equal to, delta S not equal to and the activation energy, which can point to some changes in the structure of lipoprotein enzyme complexes.

[Influence of laser radiation on the binding of bromthymol blue by microsomes].

It was stated that radiation of liver microsomes with helium--neon laser (lambda = 6328 A, the power of radiation 25 mvt) during 30 minutes leads to a decrease of the amount of sorption centres from 25.6 to 10.2 mol/g of protein and a change of delta F degree from -7.0 to -4.1 kkal/mol for bromthymol dark blue.

[Effect of hyperoxia on water-insoluble proteins of the brain].

Water-insoluble proteins of rat brain were studied as affected by hyperbaric oxygenation (oxygen pressure 6 at.ga. convulsion state). Solubilization of proteins under effect of hyperoxia and triton X-100 increases by 32-81%. Changes in the amino acidic composition of proteins extracted by 0.5% triton X-100 are characterized by an increase in the amount of aspartic acid, cystin, leucine and isoleucine and by a decrease in the amount of histidine, arginine and methionine. Electrophoresis in 7.5% polyacrylamide gel of proteins in the 0.5% triton X-100 extract showed changes in the number and mobility of protein bands.

[Microsomal protein changes in the brain of hens in ontogeny].

Studies have been made on the peripheral (extracted by 1 M KCl, pH 9.0) and integral (successively extracted by a 1% solution of Triton X-100 and 0.3% solution of sodium dodecyl sulfate) microsomal proteins from the brain of chick embryos beginning from the 8th day of incubation, chicks and adult hens up to 1 year 4 months. Investigation was made of the quantity, fractional composition (by means of polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) and the rate of incorporation of 14C-lysine. It was found that the content of these membrane proteins and their composition depend on the age of animals. Integral proteins as compared with peripheral ones exhibit higher rate of incorporation of the labeled amino acid, this rate increasing with the age of animals.

[Effect of ionizing radiation on cell membrane proteins].

The effect of ionizing radiation on the meat cattle thymocytes plasma membranes was studied. Using fluorescence quenching technique the effect of irradiation on proteins conformation was investigated. The influence of ionizing radiation on the plasma membranes was shown to be followed by changes of the protein structure-dynamic organization.

[Postradiation structural changes in the thymocyte and lymphocyte plasma membranes in the fractional irradiation of rats].

On days 1 and 4 after fractionated irradiation of rats with dose of 0.75 Gy changes in thymocyte and lymphocyte plasma membrane structures were studied. Structural parameters of fluorescence probe auramin binding, viscosity of free lipids and lipids bound with integral proteins as well as structural changes of membrane protein structure were determined. It was shown that after exposure to low doses the changes in membrane protein structures occurred both in thymocytes and lymphocytes. The changes in viscosity of membrane lipids and patterns of auramin binding were more pronounced in lymphocytes than in thymocytes. It is suggested that radiosensitivity of lymphocytes is higher than that of thymocytes.
