[The dynamics of the blood supply to the maxillary complex following a maxillary osteotomy].

Regional maxilla hemodynamic changes were studied in 40 patients. After surgical correction of combined upper jaw deformations, the osteotomized fragment showed sufficient blood flow which originated from distal maxilla blood vessels. By 45 days after surgery the blood flow reached its preoperative level. More pronounced changes were detected in the regional blood flow in patients with combined jaw deformations after congenital labial, soft and hard palate clefts. In these patients, retardation of the blood flow restitution could reflect the scarification of the tissues of soft and hard palate, and lips.

[Morphofunctional parallels in the development of pulpitis].

In 16 mongrel dogs rheodontography was applied to study the functional state of inflamed dental pulp blood vessels. At the same time, pathological investigation of the pulp tissues was performed within 1 h to 40 days after the pulpitis modelling. Direct correlation of purulent-infiltrative pulp changes in acute and chronic inflammation with rheodentographic features was shown. The rheodentographic technique was shown effective for intravital diagnosis of the acute and chronic dental pulp inflammation.

[Hemodynamics in the pulp of abutment teeth after their preparation for metal-ceramic denture restoration].

The paper presents the results of functional examination of pulpal and periodontal vessels in 57 patients who underwent preparation of supporting teeth for making cermet dentures. Pulpal hemodynamics was studied by using rheodentography before and 1, 3, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days after tooth preparation. After preparation, the tooth pulp exhibited inflammatory sings which gradually alleviated and 14-28 days later there was stabilization of rheographic parameters of regional hemodynamics. In patients with intact periodontium, circulatory recovery occurred on days 14-21, while in those with periodontitis it took place on days 21-28.
