[A method of obtaining radial skin flap on a vascular-neural pedicle from the forearm].

The authors examined 65 adult cadavers in which they studied vascularization of a radial skin flap of the forearm and conducted an anatomical experiment of its preparation. The vascularization boundaries were studied as well as the peculiarities of preparation of a radial skin flap of the forearm with a precise approach to a vascular-neural pedicle and maximal preservation of cutaneous branches arising from the radial artery.

[The cytoarchitectonics of hard chancre in rabbits with experimental syphilis exposed to soliusul'fon and cefamezine].

Twenty rabbits were infected with Treponema pallidum suspension. Ten animals were injected with solusulfone, the rest with cefamezin. Specific features of syphilis induced by a pool of Treponemas are described, such as T. pallidum ultrastructure, formation of a specific granule, form of the agent aggression. Solusulfone treatment was associated with activation of phagocytosis, that manifested by a shift of the incomplete/complete phagocytosis ratio towards the reaction completion; however, intact T. pallidum were detectable even in 72 hrs after the drug injection. Cefamezin had no effect on the cysts and cyst-like formations at the beginning of the treatment course but these forms of the agent were already undetectable in 48 hours.

[The Scientific Society of Dermatovenereologists in the system of increasing the qualifications of physicians].

The authors analyze the contribution of the Scientific Society of Dermatologists and Venereologists to continuous education of physicians: discussion of pressing problems in clinical dermatology and venereology, organization of infectious diseases control, analysis of the research carried out by the Society's members. Special attention is paid to philosophic problems in biology and medicine. A positive effect of field sessions of the Society in the major towns of the region is emphasized; such sessions promote a wider acquaintance of the local physicians with the newest trends in this field.

[Tuberous iododerma from solutan].

The literature data on this condition are reviewed and a 22-year-old female patient with solutan-induced tuberous iododerma is described.
