[Effect of vagal denervation of the cerebral vessels on cerebellar neurons].

Under study were the neurons of the cerebellum cortex of adult cats after a right-side transection of the vagus nerve cranially to its ganglion. The neuron structure was studied in frontal 10-20 mu thick paraffin sections stained with thionine after Nissl 1, 2, 10, 20 days and 1, 2, 3 months after operation. Pathomorphological alterations of neurons were revealed in all layers of the cerebellum cortex. The alterations were of bilateral character, but were more pronounced in the operation side.

[A selection model for predicting poultry meat productivity].

A model for estimating growth intensity parametres in poultry in early ontogenesis has been worked out. The growth intensity parametres were studied; high efficiency of using the model for prognosis of meat productivity in poultry at the age of 49-56 days are shown. The application techniques of the model offered for increasing poultry growth energy were examined.

[The prediction of the breeding value of poultry from the intensity of the early ontogeny processes].

Theoretical approaches to the estimation of shaping processes intensity in the early ontogenesis in poultry based on the parameters of growth intensity and uniformity have been considered. It is shown that the indices of growth uniformity defined during the 1st-3rd weeks of life have a significant correlation with the final live weight at the age of 7-8 weeks. This opens new prospects in prediction of the poultry flesh productivity.
