[Hygienic evaluation of work conditions for shielded compartments staff].

Workplaces in various technologic compartments of shielded building are characterized by lower geomagnetic field (50 Hz), compromised air ions composition not corresponding to hygienic regulations, absent natural illumination and compensation of ultraviolet deficiency. When compared to reference group, the staffers demonstrate higher parameters of annual occupational risk growth.

[An anamnestic method for studying the cause-effect connections between the status of public health and manufacturing, ecological and social factors].

The authors elaborated a medical and ecologic questionnaire for specific history. The questionnaire was applied to express-evaluation of public health state and environmental factors in the certain settlement. The health state was proved to be influenced significantly by occupational conditions, hardiness and intensity of work, psychologic climate. The most hazardous environmental factors are: unsatisfactory quality of drinkable water, air pollution and traffic noise. The lifestyle of the population examined is strongly associated with bad habits (smoking, short sleep, alcohol abuse).

[The technical requirements of simulating cardioplegia and perfusion of an isolated heart].

A testing unit for simulating cardioplegia and restorative perfusion of an isolated heart is described. The testing unit is fitted out with a chamber for an isolated heart, an oxygenator, a heat exchanger, the perfusion system and organs controlling heart work under different conditions of perfusion and cardioplegia. The system approximates the physiological condition of the experiment and allows changing and controlling them on a broad enough scale.

[A device for complete and assisted artificial circulation].

The authors describe a system for complete and auxiliary extracorporeal circulation (EC), manufactured on the basis of elements of industrial pneumoautomatics in the form of blocks controlling venous and arterial blood flows. The venous part regulates the venous inflow volume by the feedback type mechanism; the arterial part ensures complete EC in the pulsating mode during cardiosurgical intervention and auxiliary EC in the course of heart activity recovery after cardioplegia, promoting an increase of the coronary blood flow and synchronized blood supply.
