Attention is drawn to the use of a simple method of examination such as auscultation of the main vessels of the head in practical activity of the neuropathologist. The diagnostic significance of the method in vascular pathology of the brain is documented. The method of transorbital auscultation to be used in the diagnosis of stenosis of the intracranial strip of the internal carotid artery is described.
Fifty-four patients aged 25 to 66 years suffering from hemicrania were examined. 21 patients showed certain changes in the clinical picture and course of hemicrania itself: enhancement of paroxysms or transformation of one form of hemicrania to the other one, more severe (e.g. a simple form transforms to an ophthalmic or an associated one). In 15 patients, ++vegeto-dystonic manifestations associated mostly with a significant reduction of migrainous paroxysms themselves and, more rarely, with their dramatic enhancement began with time to play the leading part in the disease clinical picture. Superimposition of essential hypertension or atherosclerosis was also coupled with changes in the course of hemicrania, in particular by an increase of the period of cephalgia and appearance of constant headaches.
The paper deals with a number of problems facing clinical neurology. They arise in neurological disorders stemming from unfavourable ecological conditions.

The authors describe two cases of the Tolosa-Hunt syndrome and come to the conclusion that the pathological process in the disease (largely in the meninges) may also involve other sites located distantly from the cavernous sinus. The genesis of this syndrome appears to be largely infectious-allergic in nature.
This is a report on a 65-year-old man with a 58-year-long history of choreic hyperkinesis with a wave-like course of the disease without its progression and without the development of intellectual disturbances. The authors discusses whether it is justified nosologically (in view of similar reports in the foreign literature) to refer this case to a distinctive form of nonprogressive chronic hereditary chorea distinctive from Huntington's chorea.

Consideration of different variants of deviation of the eyeballs at the acute stage of cerebral stroke may be of great significance for the diagnosis. Attention is drawn to cases characterized by dynamic changes of eye deviation. They were explained by the development of new foci both in the contralateral hemisphere and in the stem of the same side. One of the causes of these changes may be mechanisms of decompensation occurring after a previously experienced stroke.
