[Liver function in diabetics with secondary sulfanilamide resistance (based on the data from dynamic hepatobiliary scintigraphy)].

Dynamic hepato-bilio-scintigraphy was performed in 43 patients with diabetes mellitus. An analysis of results showed that characteristic of patients with diabetes mellitus is a reduction of the detoxicating and bile excretory function of the liver which was most pronounced in patients with insulin-dependent type in the condition of secondary sulfanylamide resistance. Typical of diabetes mellitus disorder of the gallbladder function was its hypotonia and dyskinesia.

[The use of echo- and scintigraphic study of the biliary system in chronic cholecystitis].

Data are reported of a study of the functional state of the biliary in 50 patients with chronic cholecystitis by means of complex employment of dynamic echo- and cholecystography and dynamic computerized gamma-hepatobilioscintigraphy. It was found that dynamic echo- and cholecystography proved highly efficient indicating that ultrasound tomography is of importance not only the diagnosis of structural but also functional disorders in cholecystitis, for the choice of optimal tactics and evaluation of the efficacy of therapeutic measures excluding radiation treatment.

[Anti-atherogenic effect of enterosorption in patients with diabetes mellitus].

Sixty-six patients with diabetes mellitus were treated with carbon-containing sorbents with a resultant decrease in the content of cholesterol in lipoproteins of antiatherogenic classes and an increase in high-density lipoproteins (HDL), glycosylation of lipoproteins was suppressed, detoxicating and synthetic liver function was improved.
