[Therapy of myocarditis with levamisole].

The influence of levamisole on the course of myocarditis was investigated. It was found that levamisole decreased the intensity of subjective symptoms of disease as well as normalised electrocardiographical and immunological changes in greater part of patients.

[Selected immunologic tests in industrial workers chronically exposed to harmful occupational factors].

160 workers, aged 19-60 (average 41.5 years), engaged in the production of prefabricated concrete elements and chronically exposed to ambient humidity and temperature fluctuations underwent preventive clinical immunological examinations. Eighty-seven subjects passed, within recent six months, upper respiratory tract infection. Forty-seven per cent of those who passed the respiratory tract infection exhibited enhanced immunological reaction of cellular type, ability of lymphocytes blastic transformation, the degree of lymphocytes immunoadherence inhibition in the presence of antigens, and lymphocytes B value. The changes in the circulatory system may be conditioned by chronic myocarditis.

[Observations on the peripheral vascular network of the myocardium during infarction].

The patterns of microvascular network have been examined in myocardium of 61 patients which died of subendocardial or transmural myocardial infarctions. The microangiographic patterns of interventricular septum and ventricular wall with or without morphological lesions have been compared. The investigations are related to the differences in microvascularization of various morphological types of myocardial infarctions. Our study confirms the classification of myocardial infarcts into microfocal and massive types. It explains the milder clinical course of microfocal subendocardial infarctions.
