[2 contributions to the question of care of patients with cerebrovascular disease].
In the first part of the work the author assessed the laws governing the incidence and mortality from cerebrovascular diseases in different age groups and expressed them by a simple mathematical formula. Because there exist still marked differences in the reporting of diagnoses of cerebrovascular diseases which account for 20%, and in exceptional cases even more, it is not possible to obtain a basis nation-wide figure and so farr it is necessary to use for calculation a general symbol x for incidence and y for mortality. These symbols are multiplied and divided in different age groups. In the second part of the paper the author analyzes due to the different mortality of cerebrovascular diseases in neurological and medical departments and medical departments and with regard to his own experience, the possibility to use neurological beds for hospitalization of patients with acute cerebrovascular attacks in relation to the number of beds, their occupancy and the incidence of cerebrovascular attacks.
