Catheter placement and misplacement.
In the intensive care unit, multiple support and monitoring devices are used on acutely ill patients. Misplacement of these devices can be life threatening. This article demonstrates the ideal location, common misplacement, and complications of some of the commonly used ICU catheters and tubes.
