[Experience in treating patients with microsporosis of the smooth skin with involvement of the lanugo hair].

Seventy-four patients with smooth skin microsporosis with involvement of the lanugo were treated with a 10% quinosol solution in dimexid. The foci were smeared twice a day. Resolution of the clinical manifestations and elimination of the fungi were achieved in 5-14 days, in 9.4 days on an average. This therapeutic method does not involve manual epilation and oral griseofulvin, no side effects were recorded.

[The use of chlorhexidine bigluconate in the combined treatment of patients with chronic generalized (granulomatous) candidiasis].

.02% aqueous solution of chlorhexidine bigluconate has been used in the treatment of patients with chronic generalized candidiasis. Salivary pH values have been checked up over the course of treatment. The drug has been administered as a gargle or in applications 3-4 min 4-5 times daily for 10-12 days. Such treatment has completely cleared away the oral mucosa and tongue symptoms; this procedure has been followed by sanitizing of the oral cavity.

[Candidal granuloma of the scalp in a child].

Candidal granuloma in an infant of 11 months is described. The disease has developed at the age of 3.5 months after administration of ampicillin for an acute respiratory viral disease and otitis. The diagnosis has been confirmed by microscopic examinations and cultivation. The condition has been cured by oral nystatin and external batrafen cream.
