Long-range planning for information systems.
Abstract
While it can appear to be an overwhelming task, developing a long-range plan for information systems (IS) in a community hospital can be a simple exercise. The plan should focus on long-range strategic objectives that best support the hospital's business strategy. The hospital executive management team must work with information systems staff to create a road map for securing the necessary IS technology, applications, and support.
